Blower Door and Duct Testing
Air leakage from the building envelope and ductwork is a major component of energy use. These items can be tested for with the help of a blower door and duct blaster. With this equipment we can determine the air leakage of your entire home, which is measure in cubic feet per minute at a pressure difference of 50 Pascals (CFM@50). For duct work we can determine the total duct leakage and the leakage outside of the building envelope, which is the worst kind of leakage to have!
Ventilation Testing
Energy efficient homes need proper ventilation to maintain good indoor air quality (IAQ) and to prevent building durability issues. We can assist in commissioning exhaust only systems or heat and energy recovery systems.
